How to work from home when travelling

In our first (and also our second) appartment we have the problem that there is no working desk so I had to improvise.

I have an HDMI cable so I am able to connect the laptop to the TV:

Since there is no workdesk so I have to use the dinner table. Next time when booking maybe I will look for that.

Update: Here you can see our second appartment. The situation is even worse there, because we need the dinner table to change diapers. But at least this time there is a big 4K TV:
