Meeting fellow IPs and parents
Yesterday we met up with fellow IPs and parents. We really needed to socialise after being mostly at home with the babies. We had to take the babies with us because we don’t have a nanny. Still it was lots of fun (maybe because the babies were behaving very well).
Stuck at home bc of the babies? 🎥
We decided to visit the Chronicles of Georgia but had some obstacles to overcome, for example tackling stairs and uneven ground with the strollers, feeding the baby when outside or changing nappies outside.
Bathing the baby in a tub
Our doctor advised us to bath the baby every day but not to use a shower gel every day. Since we are traveling we bought this cheap laundry basket. We already had a floating bath pillow which we brought from home. Still we needed a bathtub.
How to weigh a baby at home 🎥
Our biggest concern is if the babies eat enough, i.e. not put on enough weight. That’s why today we will weigh the babies at home and then we will ask the doctor if they gained enough… If not we might have to switch to a different formula for bulking… (like Plasmon 0 liquid)
How to make passport photos of a newborn
We had to make passport photos of our baby. This is not easy because they cannot hold their head still. Also to meet the requirements of our country.
How to wash a baby in a sink 🎥
I share footage from the clinic: You see how to hold a newborn with one hand, wash it’s bum when changing the diaper and how to clean the navel. It should be cleaned until 1 month.
First Pediatrician Check Up 🎥
Important milestone: First check up for our newborns with the neurologist and the pediatrician. We already got some instructions at the clinic about how much formula we have to give every day and what else to do after the babies were born… but this was again a lot of useful information that we received there.
